Sterling, VA – Friday,
March 16, 2009 –
Monogram Systems-TIA Division,
a leading provider of aircraft Galley Inserts
for business jets and commercial transports, announced today that they have
received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC Number ST10930SC) approval from the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the installation of their MK1
Coffee/Beverage Maker on all models of the Boeing 737.
“Our research into
their product (MK1) convinced us that this was the proper choice for us and
current users expressed their satisfaction for the product” said a VP of
Technical Services for a major regional airline. He went on to say, “We have found their engineering and product
line to be very sound and reliable.”
“Up until now, Boeing
737 owners and operators have had limited options for a low cost and light
weight coffee maker,” said Oliver Bootz, TIA Division’s Director of Sales and
Marketing. “With this STC, 737 aircraft operators can now provide their
passengers with a premium cup of coffee, while also realizing the strategic
benefits of lower overall cost of ownership and significantly lower weight.”
Monogram Systems-TIA
Division leads the business jet industry in providing coffee/beverage makers,
convection ovens and microwave ovens.
With the recent approvals from Airbus on all aircraft models for the MK1
coffee maker and now the STC for the Boeing 737s, airlines have a new option. TIA’s
development team has produced an innovative product which delivers increased
reliability, lowers ownership costs, and produces a great cup of coffee.
